Abel Sensors Transfers Smart Sensing IP, Sharpens Focus on Smart Parking

Abel Sensors announces the transfer of the intellectual property rights of its remote monitoring and smart sensing product portfolio including SmartSilo, SmartWaste, and SmartSubstrate to a third party. This strategic decision marks a new chapter for Abel Sensors as the company accelerates its focus on its Smart Parking division.
A deliberate strategic shift
After careful evaluation of its business strategy, Abel Sensors has decided to concentrate its commercial efforts on Smart Parking solutions. By sharpening its focus, the company aims to deliver even better products, faster innovation, and stronger service levels in the segment where it sees the greatest opportunity for growth.

IP in trusted hands
The SmartSilo, SmartWaste, and SmartSubstrate technologies will continue under the acquiring party, a company with whom Abel Sensors has maintained a successful working relationship for several years. Abel Sensors will actively support the new IP owner in continuing and expanding these product lines going forward.
Continuity guaranteed for existing customers
Existing customers are not impacted by this change. Abel Sensors has retained a license to continue honoring all active service contracts and framework agreements. Current contract terms, service levels, and day-to-day operations remain fully unchanged. For orders beyond existing contracts, Abel Sensors will work closely with the new IP owner to explore the conditions under which new sensors can be supplied, and will keep customers informed of any developments.
